Thank you so much for approving the funding for the 2 post lifts, bath base and sling. This equipment has made a huge difference in my life as it allowed me to live at home (versus in a hospital) and maintain a basic level of independence in my daily functioning. Although I still do need the assistance of a home support worker to get in and out of bed and to take a bath, this would not be possible without the equipment that was provided with the funding grant.
A 51-year-old female client living with cerebral palsy
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for putting on a lovely and heartfelt ceremony yesterday. Not only was it a milestone for me, it took me back to a place of gratitude and inspiration from the different messages from the other award winners. It was certainly an experience that I will never forget as it holds a dear place in my heart. Again, thank you so very much for your efforts.

A 29-year-old male client who is a paraplegic
I want to express my gratitude and thanks to your Foundation for providing $3000 in funding towards a reconditioned wheelchair and the parts required. I suffered a spinal cord injury in a car accident in July 1996. Over the years I've had to copy physically, mentally and financially because of my disability. One thousand dollars of your donation went to the purchase of an almost new wheelchair; the other $2000 is being used to upgrade the chair with a new back and cushions and with sip/puff hardware. Thank you so much for your generous assistance.
